YouVersion Bible (or Bible app for short) is much more than an e-book reader that can only display a single book. Firstly while reading you can switch between a multitude of Bible versions such as Orthodox Jewish Bible, the Good News Bible and of course King James Version. Upon making an account, you can highlight verses and bookmark pages, as well as share or export images with verses imposed on a variety of background images.

The Home screen works similar to a dashboard. There you can see promotions, Verse of the day and personal highlights. There is no customization unfortunately.

For a more interactive Bible experience you can choose to follow a daily plan where you will study recommended parts of the Bible each day for a certain length of days.

The best part of Bible app is the community aspect. You can connect with your fiends and share passages similar to the social media format.

There's also an event finder. Assuming you know the location, you can use the app to take notes and comment during the live event.
